Question 330785: Can you please help me solve,
Find the slope and the y-intercept f(x) = -10x -9
The y-intercept is _____?
The slope is _____?
Thanks a bunch :o)
Answer by texttutoring(324) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Recall the equation of a line, y=mx+b
The slope is m, and the y-intercept is b.
In your question, m=-10, and b=-9.
This means the slope is -10, which means the line goes down 10, right 1, down 10, right 1... and so on.
and the y-intercept is -9, which means the line crosses the y-axis at y=-9.
