let them make x numbers of lumber
they will make 2x numbers of plywood. ( double)
Profit on lumber $20
Profit on plywood = $45
..
Total profit earned = $11440
..
Profit on selling lumber + profit on plywood = Total profit.
20x+(45*2x)=11440
20x+90x=11440
110x=11440
divide by 110
115x/110= 11440/110
x= 11440/110
lumber = 104 numbers
..
plywood is double of lumber.
104*2= 208 numbers
