Solve:
2x-5+=+sqrt%287x%2B7%29 Square both sides.
4x%5E2-20x%2B25+=+7x%2B7 Subtract 7x from both sides.
4x%5E2-27x%2B25+=+7 Subtract 7 from both sides.
4x%5E2-27x%2B18+=+0 Solve using the quadratic formula:x+=+%28-b%2B-sqrt%28b%5E2-4ac%29%29%2F2a and here, a = 4, b = -27, and c = 18.
You can work this out but I get the answers: x = 6 or x = 0.75
