Question 330209: re: inverse variation (y = k/x)
problem: speed of bus inversely proportional to time (t) that it takes to travel fixed distance at 30 mph in 80 minuntes; how fast does bus need to travel to cover same distance in 20 minutes.
If speed is inversely proportional to time, do I set speed = 1/time?
I am unclear on how to set up equation - thanks for help. Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
