| Question 329764:  v=lwh;for w
 Answer by texttutoring(324)
      (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! V=lwh
 You want to isolate for w, so that means you need to get l and h over to the left side. They are being multiplied by w, so to get them to the other side, you have to divide by them.

 V/lh = w*lh/lh      (Recall that lh/lh = 1, because anything divided by itself is equal to 1.)

 V/lh = w*1
 V/lh = w
 w = V/lh

 Does that make sense?
