Question 328861: Salinity to depths of 1000 meters at a certain longitude is moldeled by the function:
f(x)=30.6+1.3 log(x+1)
input x is depth in meters
output f(x) is in grams of salt per Kg of sea water
Aprroximate analytically the depth where salinity = 33
The given answer is 69 but I get 57 every time and every way I try... AAAggHHh !!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Salinity to depths of 1000 meters at a certain longitude is moldeled by the function:
f(x)=30.6+1.3 log(x+1)
input x is depth in meters
output f(x) is in grams of salt per Kg of sea water
Aprroximate analytically the depth where salinity = 33
33 = 30.6 + 1.3log(x+1)
1.3log(x+1) = 2.4
log(x+1) = 2.4/1.3
x+1 = 10^(2.4/1.3)
x+1 =~ 70.17
x = 69

The given answer is 69 but I get 57 every time and every way I try... AAAggHHh !!!
