Question 328606: This is the question that is on my homework... Select the graph from the choices below that is a solution to the following system of equations:
-3x +4y = 12
6x - 8y =16
I Cant put graphs up on here so can you please tell me how to solve this question and give somewhat of an algorithem on how you do these steps?
Thank you for your Time.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Locate the x and y intercepts for both equations
x-intercept:
-3x+%2B4y+=+12
-3x+%2B4%2A0+=+12
solve for x
-3x+=+12
x+=+-4
-----------
y-intercept:
-3%2A0+%2B4y+=+12
solve for y
4y+=+12
y+=+3
The intercepts are at (-4,0) and (0,3)
drw a straight line through these points
-------------
Now repeat the process for
6x+-+8y+=+16 and
draw a straight line through the points
