Question 32832: What is the "Distributive Law"?
I'm a little slow when it comes to math. I can consintrate. Math dosen't catch my interest. Is there anything I could do to help me not fail algebra in high school? Answer by sarah_adam(201) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The distributive law says that:
a(b + c) = ab + ac
Example 1:
2x(4x - 1)= 8x^2 - 2x
Example 2:
5x -x(4x - 1)
= 5x - 1x(4x - 1)
= 5x - 4x^2 + 1x
= -4x^2 + 6x
Algebra is not that tough as it seems ...It takes little effort to understand the basic rule and once you get it everything will be so easy.I wish the very best for you and in case you have doubts you can always ask us and we are always there to help you in any aspect you need.ALl the best and keep cheering
