Question 327852: Hello,
A launched rocet has an altitude in meters given by the polynomial h+vt-4,9t to the 2nd power.where h is the height in meters, from which the launch occurs, at a valacity v in meters per seconds, and t is the number of seconds for which the rocket is airborne if a rocket is launched from the top of a tower 60 meters high with an intial upward speed of 80 meters per second what will its height be in 2 seconds?
I don't think anyone can solve this one it is to confusing.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! A launched rocet has an altitude in meters given by the polynomial h+vt-4,9t to the 2nd power.where h is the height in meters, from which the launch occurs, at a valacity v in meters per seconds, and t is the number of seconds for which the rocket is airborne if a rocket is launched from the top of a tower 60 meters high with an intial upward speed of 80 meters per second what will its height be in 2 seconds?
.
Equation, height as a function of time:
.
based on the info given by the problem:
h = 60 meters
v = 80 meters per sec
.
.
So, to answer the question, set t to 2 and solve: meters
