You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let width be x
length = x+2
..
perimeter = 28
perimeter = 2*(L+B)
perimeter = 2*(x+x+2)
=2*(2x+2)
=4x+4= 28
add -4
4x+4-4 =28-4
4x=24
divide by 4
4x/4 = 24/4
x= 6 meters the width
length = x+2 = 6+2 + 8 meters

The perimeter is 28 meters and its length is 2 meters more than twice it width. What is its length?

Let the width be W

Then the length = 2W + 2, since the length is 2 meters more than twice its width

Since perimeter = 28 m, we will have: 2W + 2(2W + 2) = 28 ----> 2W + 4W + 4 = 28 ---> 6W = 24 ----> W = 24%2F6 = 4 m

Since W, or width = 4 m, then length = 2(4) + 2, or highlight_green%2810%29, since length is 2 m more than twice the width.
