Question 327103: I am wondering if I could get confirmation for this problem. I think you would square the -.6 to get -.36. But I am not sure.
If the correlation between a response variable Y and explanatory variable X is - 0.6, what is the value that defines how much variation in Y is explained by X?
A) 6%
B) 36%
C) - 36%
D) - 6%
Thanks,
Maria
