What an absolutely ridiculous question. A saw is my favorite tool but ONLY when I want to cut something. If I want to pound a nail, a saw is no longer my favorite tool -- in this case I prefer a hammer. And when I want to write a note to myself, I put away my saw and my hammer and get out my pen. There are situations that lend themselves to the use of each of the methods and to say one of them is a favorite is simply ludicrous. If your teacher asked you that question, get a new teacher. If you asked because you want some shortcut as to which method to memorize, then forget it, you need them all.
