Question 324876: 4^x+4=5^2x+5
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4^(x+4) = 5^(2x+5)
-------------------------------
Take the log of both sides to get:
(x+4)log(4) = (2x+5)log(5)
----
Move the x-terms to the left side of the equation.
x(log(4)-2log(5)) = 5log(5)-4log(4)
x(-0.7959) = 1.0866
x = -1.3653
