You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Room # 1: Area = 6.5*4.5 = 29.25 square feet.

Now multiply the area of the first room by 13.85 to get 29.25*13.85 = 405.1125

So to carpet a 6.5m by 4.5m room at $13.85 a square meter will cost you $405.11 dollars (round to the nearest cent)

Room # 2: First, convert each measurement in feet to yards. You do this by dividing everything by 3. So 15 ft = 15/3 = 5 yards and 11 ft = 11/3 yards

So the area of the second room is: Area = 5*(11/3) = 55/3 square yards

Now multiply this area by the the cost per square yard (30) to get (55/3)*30 = 55*10 = 550

So the cost to carpet the second room is $550
