You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The profit per toy is the sale price minus the cost.
P=3-1.8=1.2
For each toy he makes a profit of $1.20.
Find the total number of toys to make $36.00.
N=36%2F1.2
N=30

-----
Profit = Revenue - Cost
-----
Let # of toys made be "x"
Cost = 1.8x dollars
Revenue = 3x
-----
Profit = 3x-1.8x = 36 dollars
1.2x = 36
x = 30 (# of toys he will have to make to have $36 profit)

He wants to make a profit of $36.00. He is selling each toy for $3.00. Each toy cost $1.80 to make. You need to subtract the cost $1.80 to make the toys from how much he is selling the toys for $3.00. You get $1.20. The $1.20 is the profit of each toy. Multiply $1.20 by 30 toys you get $36.00 which is the profit. Answer is 30 toys.
