So A%28x%29=%282x-1%29%28x%2B2%29=2x%5E2%2B4x-x-2=2x%5E2%2B3x-2


So the area function is A%28x%29=2x%5E2%2B3x-2


Now to find A(5), just plug in x=5 and evaluate:


A%285%29=2%285%29%5E2%2B3%285%29-2=2%2825%29%2B3%285%29-2=50%2B15-2=63


So A%285%29=63
