To solve for x, you first must know the value of y.
For example, if had written:
0+=+%28-2%2F3%29x%2B4 you could solve for x thus:
%28-2%2F3%29x%2B4+=+0 Multiply both sides by -3%2F2%29.
%28-3%2F2%29%2A%28-2%2F3%29x%2B4%28-3%2F2%29+=+0%28-3%2F2%29 Simplify.
x-6+=+0
x+=+6
