You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1. Ayie is 8 years older than Icas. The sum of their ages is 32. How old is each now?
..
let Icas age =x
Avie age = x+8
Their sum = 42
x+x+8=42
2x+8=42
2x=34
x=17 Icas's age
Ayie's age = x+8 = 7+8=15 years

2. A man's age is 2 years more than thrice his son's age. Find the ages of both if the sum of their ages is 46.
..
sons age =x
man's age = 3x+2
sum =46
x+3x+2=46
4x+2 = 46
4x=44
x=11, son's age
man's age = 3x+2 = 3*11 +2
=35 years
3. Riza's age is one year more than twice Norie's age. 8 years ago, the sum of their ages was equal to Rizza's age 10 years from now. How old are they.
norie's age =x
Rizza,s age =y
y=2x+1
y-2x=1.......1
8 years ago
norie's age = x-8
Rizza's age= y-8
x-8+y-8 = (y+10)
x+y-16=y+10
x=26......2
y=53
