the ramp is the hypotenuse and the ground is one side , you need to find height (other side)

this uses the Pythagorean theorem ___ a^2 + b^2 = c^2

you have "a" and "c" and need to find "b"

24^2 + b^2 = 27^2 ___ b^2 = 27^2 - 24^2 ___ b = sqrt(27^2 - 24^2)



should be 12.37 (approx) on your calculator
