Question 320011: How do you convert an equation from slope-intercept form into standard form (Ax + By = C)
I have two; y= -3/4x - 3/2
y= 3/5x + 3
I've worked through the first from some online instructions, and get 4y= -3x -12
but have no idea what I am doing... Help?!?!?! I will be eternally grateful for your assistance!! --Sandy Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the capital letters indicate integer coefficients (no fractions)
___ by convention , the x coefficient is positive
___ this means you have to get the x's and y's on one side and the constant on the other
___ multiply by the appropriate "fudge" factors so everything fits the format
