Predict the number of gun deaths in 2006 and 2008. What year will the number of gun deaths be 9383?

Predict the number of gun deaths in 2006 and 2008:
For 2006:
x = 2006-2000 = 6
Plug it into:
Y=-1777x + 27153
Y=-1777(6) + 27153
Y=-10662 + 27153
Y=16491
.
For 2008:
x = 2008-2000 = 8
Plug it into:
Y=-1777x + 27153
Y=-1777(8) + 27153
Y = 12937
.
What year will the number of gun deaths be 9383?
Y=-1777x + 27153
9383 =-1777x + 27153
9383-27153 =-1777x
(9383-27153)/(-1777) =x
