Question 319106: How many feet would it take a vehicle to stop if the vehicle was traveling 40 miles per hour?
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! First off, this is not an algebra problem.
Secondly, there are many factors that contribute to braking distance.
Speed is only one of them.
There is not enough information to solve.
If there was a brick wall in the way, then the answer might be 1-2 milliseconds.
If the car was on an icy road, then it could be several thousand feet.
You see what I mean.
