I'm a little confused. I know the line y=x+2

If you know what y=x+2 looks like then x=x-1/2 should be easy. It will be paralell to x+2, but it will intersect the y-axis at the point (0, -1/2). The line y=x+2 intersects it at the point (0, 2). This is the green line in the graph.

Line y = -1/2 -1 = -3/2 doesn't depend on x, so it's just a horizontal line (it always has the same value, which is -3/2, no matter what x is). This is the red line in the graph.

For reference, I've also drawn y=x+2 as a blue line.
