Question 318356: Factor completely:
5x squared + 90x + 405
I'm not sure how to get this solved because I don't know what to do and how to get to the next step. The book says factor out the GCF, and they get
5(x squared + 18x + 81) as their next step but what I'm not getting is how they got the 18x and 81?
Sorry I had to write out "squared", not sure how to type it. I would really appreciate your help with this. Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

First things first. x^2 is the way to type in the absence of any other way to do it.

5 goes into 5 -- 1 time.

5 goes into 90 -- 18 times.

5 goes into 405 -- 81 times.
