im guessing ur simplifying it i dont see how u can solve for x so
start by factoring out a 6 in numerator and denominator
6%28x%5E2-4%29%2F6%28x%5E2-2%296's cancel and can factor numerator
%28%28x-2%29%28x%2B2%29%29%2F%28x%5E2-2%29 denominator has fractional factors so i left it in this form
