2x+6y=10
5x+3y=1 Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2X+6Y=10
5X+3Y=1
MULTIPLY THE SECOND EQUATION BY -2 GIVES
-10X-6Y=-2 ADDING THIS TO THE FIRST EQUATION
2X+6Y=10 WE GET
-8X=8 OR X=-1 REPLACINF -1 FOR X IN FORMULA 1 WE GET
2(-1)+6Y=10 OR -2+6Y=10 OR 6Y=12 OR Y=2
PROOF 2(-1)+6(2)=10 OR -2+12=10 OR 10=10 & 5(-1)+3(2)=1 OR -5+6=1 OR 1=1
