customer buys 5 times more batteries as boxes of pens
so 5x batteries are bought by the customer at $3 / battery
..
individual costs add up to total cost
5x+5x*3=960
5x+15x=960
20x=960
x= 960/20
x= 48 which is the number of pens sold.
The number of batteries sold = 5x = 5*48
=240.
