You can put this solution on YOUR website! no of people=x
no of dofs=y
no of heads=(x+y)
no of legs=(2x+4y)
substituting given values,
x+y=10 --- [1]
2x+4y=26 --[2]
solving simueltanously,
x=10-y
2x+4y=26
2(10-y)+4y=26
20-2y+4y=26
20+2y=26
2y=6
y=3
x=10-y=10-3=7
Thus: x=7,y=3
3 dogs and 7 people
