Question 317024: Here is my question. Find the measure of an angle whose supplement measures five times it's measure....

The answer is 30 but I cannot get this answer. A supplement means the angle is 180 degrees, is this correct? and if the answer is 30, five times 30 is only 150 when it's time to check the answer. I'm confused.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the measure of the angle be x deg
the supplement angle will be 5x
..
sum of supplement angles = 180 deg.
x+5x=180
6x=180
x=180/6
x=30 deg.
