let them meet x m from jon's place
so mike has walked 20-x m
..
time taken by mike = 20-x / 2
time taken by jon = x/2.5
..
these times are same.
20-x /2 = x / 2.5
2.5(20-x)=2x
50-2.5x=2x
50=4.5x
x=11.1 m distance from jon's place
