Question 31652: If sharon is twice as old as dave is now and will be 1.5 times his age in 4 years how old is she now?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let David's age be x
Let Sharon's age be 2x
In four years their ages:
x+4 and 2x+4
EquationL
1.5(x+4)=2x+4
1.5x+6=2x+4
0.5x=2
x=4
2(4)=8
Hence, Sharon is 8 years old, and David is 4 years old.
