Well for this one, It tells use that there are 9 students who like hockey. 11 students who like soccer, and 10 students who dont like either. The 5 students dont really matter because they are included in the 9 and 11
Therefore:
9 students who like hockey + 11 students who like soccer + 10 students who like neither = 30 students
