You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+5)/4=5/1 you cross multiply the terms to get x+5=4 times 5 or x+5=20 or
x=20-5 or x=15
proof
(15+5)/4=5 or 20/4=5 or 5=5

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%28x%2B5%29%2F%284%29=5is the same thing as %28x%2B5%29%2F%284%29=%285%2F1%29
So you then cross multiply:
(x+5)*(1) = (4)*(5)
x+5=20
Divide by 5 on both sides:
%28x%2B5%29%2F%285%29=+%2820%29%2F%285%29
x=4
Answer: x=4
Hope i helped :)
