put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the FOIL method.
a times = a^2
a times 1/2 = a/2
1/3 times a = a/3
1/3 times 1/2 = 1/6
a^2 + a/2 + a/3 + 1/6
a^2 + a5/6 + 1/6
Done!
NOTE: a5/6 is the mixed fraction a and 5/6.
