You can put this solution on YOUR website! Change 3 1/2 to a fraction.
The radius is (1/2) of the diameter.
Then the area, or if you want to get back to a mixed number,
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I have a math problem where pi=22/7 and i have to find the area of a circle using pi with a diameter of 3 1/2
.
Of course, radius(r) is simply half the diameter so
r = (1/2)(3.5) = 1.75 or 1 3/4 or 7/4
.
