Question 314390: The height and the diameter of cylinder are equal. Express the volume of the cylinder as a function of its radius.
Answer by Jstrasner(112) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Well the volume of a cylinder is V=π(r^2)h
If the diameter and the height are the same than the radius is half of the height.
The diameter , d, is 2r, r being the radius, if the height and diameter are the same, than h=2r too
Therefore:
V=π(r^2)2r
I hope this helps!
