Question 31377: I need to do this problem and cannot get how to do it. I need the vertical asymptotes, the horizontal asymptotes and the x and y-intercepts. The problem is f(x)=(x-3)/(x+2). I have to make the graph to go with it and have been reading the chapter over and over again and getting more confused. Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! f(x)=(x-3)/(x+2)
To find the y intercept, set x = 0
To find the x intercept, set y = 0
y-intercept (0, -3/2)
x-intercept (3, 0)
asymtote
As x approaches -2, y approaches infinity
