Question 313739: Find the equation of the regression of the line for the given data. Then construct a scatter plot of the data and draw the regression line.(the pair of variables have a signifcant correlation.) Then use the regression equation to predict the value of y for each of the given x values, if meaningful. The number of hours 6 students spent studying for the test and their scores are shown below.
Hours spent studying x: 1, 1, 2, 4, 4, 6.
Test score y: 35,36,50,46,62,73
a. x=3 hours
b. x=4.5 hours
c. x= 12 hours
d. x=1.5 hours
find the regression equation.
^y =?? round to three decimal places.
the symbol before the y actually goes on top of the y.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

I woulf run a linear regression program on a TI calculator
to get the regression equation but you have 2 y-values for
x = 1 and 2 y-values for x = 4, so there is no linear
regression.
y-hat = ?
=====
a. x=3 hours
b. x=4.5 hours
c. x= 12 hours
d. x=1.5 hours
find the regression equation.
No can do.
