You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Every morning, Claude leaves his house to go to work. When he drives at 60 km/h, he gets to work 3 minutes late. When he drives at 80 km/h, he gets to work 15 minutes early. How far is Claude’s house from his work ?
------
Slower journey DATA:
rate = 60 km/h ; distance = x km ; time = x/60 hrs
--------------------
Faster journey DATA:
rate = 80 km/h ; distance = x km ; time = x/80s
--------------------
Equation:
slow time - fast time = 18/60 hr
x/60 - x/80 = 18/60
Multiply thru by 240
4x - 3x = 4*18
x = 72 km
