Question 312748: Two cars leave town at the same time traveling in opposite directions. One car travels at a rate of 60 miles per hour. The other car travels at a rate of 70 miles per hour. How far apart will the two cars be at the end of 4 hours?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The two cars are moving away from each other at the rate of (60 +70)mph.
So each hour they get 130miles farther apart.
After 4 hours, they will be 4*130 = 520 miles apart
