To be sure we're on the same page with terminology:
If we have x%5Ey,
x = base, and y = exponent.

When you multiply two numbers that have the same base, all you need to do is add the exponents.
i.e. x%5Ea+%2A+x%5Eb+=+x%5E%28a%2Bb%29

So, 6%5E-2+%2A+6%5E3+=+6%5E%28-2%2B3%29+=+6%5E1+=+6

and 10%5E2+%2A+10%5E3+=+10%5E%282%2B3%29+=+10%5E5+=+100000
