seven hours before a container ship. The
container ship traveled in the opposite
direction going 5 km/h slower then the
aircraft carrier for six hours after which time
the ships were 540 km apart. Find the
aircraft carrier's speed.
Here is what I have tried:
1.) 7A=C+5
7A-5=C
6(A+C)=540
6[A+(7A-5)]=540
6(8A-5)=540
48A-30=540
48A=510
A≠10.625
2.) 7A=C+5
7A-5=C
A+6C=540
A+6(7A-5)=540
A+42A-30=540
43A-30=540
43A=570
A≠13.25581395
