You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/x+5 - 4/x+1
3(x+1)-4(x+5) / (x+1)(x+5)
3x+3 -4x-20 / (x+1)(x+5)
-x-17 /(x+1)(x+5)
-(x+17) /(x+1)(x+5)

just like regular subtraction of fractions you need to find a common denominator
in this case its simply easier to multiply both denominators together to get the same denominator
so the 1's look like this: %28x%2B1%29%2F%28x%2B1%29,%28x%2B5%29%2F%28x%2B5%29

%28%28-x-17%29%2F%28%28x%2B5%29%28x%2B1%29%29%29
