Change the 1 2/3 to an improper fraction which is 5/3, then you can calculate 5 divided by 3.

Now, the formula for area of a fraction is A=%28b%2Ah%29%2F2.

With a calculator, multply %285%2F3%29%2A%283%2F4%29, which you can do in your head = 5/4, then take that answer and divide by 2.

On the calculator, 5 divided by 3 times 3 divided by 4, and then divided by 2. You will get a decimal, which most calculators will convert back to a fraction.
The final answer is 5/8.
