You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%2F%28x-1%29-1%2Fx=3%2F2
Multiply both sides by 2x%28x-1%29
2x%5E2-2%28x-1%29=3x%28x-1%29
2x%5E2-2x%2B2=3x%5E2-3x%29
x%5E2-x-2=0%29
Factor

Please help me solve the following equation....I'm beginning to think the solution in the answer book is wrong:
x/(x-1) minus 1/x = 3/2.....solve for x.
-----
Multiply both sides by 2x(x-1) to get:
---
2x^2 - 2(x-1) = 3x(x-1)
---
2x^2 -2x + 2 = 3x^2 - 3x
---
x^2 - x - 2 = 0
---
(x-2)(x+1) = 0
----
Potential answers:
x = -1 or x = 2
---
Checking you will find that both are answers.
