You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5. ) 2x + 3y = 9
Y=mx + b
3.8y=-4.2x +1.9
Y= (-4.2/3.8)x +1.9/3.8
Y= (-2.1/1.9) x +.5
Y=y=1.1x +.5
Now you have the slope of this line (-1.1) and the y-intercept of .5 setting y=0 you can get the x-intercept thus.
0 = 1.1x + .5
1.1x =.5
X =.5/1.1
X = .4545 which is the x –intercept (.4545, -1.1) are two points on the line.
