You can put this solution on YOUR website!
no need of brackets ,,so remove them and we get..
x/8 + 5/6= 3x/2
or x/8 - 3x/2 = - 5/6
taking LCM in LHS we get..
(x - 12x) / 8 = -5/6
-11x / 8 = -5/6
or x = (-5/6) * (8/-11)
on solving this we get ..
x = 20/33
Now if you want to verify you answer ,,,you can put the values of x in the equation and if you get LHS=RHS,,,this means that you answer is correct..
hope this will help you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x/8 + 5/6= 3x/2 ----(1)
Multiplying through out by 24 (which is the lcm of 8,6 and 2)
xX(3)+5X(4)= (3x)X(12)
3x+20=36x
20 = 36x-3x
20 =33x
That is 33x = 20
Dividing by 33
x = 20/33
verification: x = 20/33 in (1)
gives LHS = 10/11= RHS
Answer: 20/33
