A rational function has a vertical asymptote at for any value which makes the denominator of the function equal zero.

If the degree of the numerator is equal to the degree of the denominator, there is a horizontal asymptote at where is the lead coefficient of the numerator and is the lead coefficient of the denominator.

The given function has no "holes"
