You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two Angles are complementary.
Let x = one angel
then
(90-x) = the other angle
:
The sum of the first angle and one-fourth the second angle is 79.05 degrees.
x + 1%2F4(90-x) = 79.05
Get rid of the fraction, multiply by 4
4x + 90-x = 4(79.05)
3x + 90 = 316.2
3x = 316.2 - 90
3x = 226.2
x = 226.2%2F3
x = 75.4 is one angle
and
90 - 75.4 = 14.6 is the other angle

Check solutions in the statement:
"The sum of the first angle and one-fourth the second angle is 79.05 degrees."
75.4 + 1%2F4(14.6) =
75.4 + 3.65 = 79.05; confirms our solutions
