5x - 5 = 2(3x - 1) - 2(x + 3) + 7

5x - 5 =  6x  - 2  -  2x - 6  + 7

5x - 5 =  6x - 2x - 2 - 6 + 7  

5x - 5 =     4x     - 8   + 7

 5x - 5 = 4x - 1
    + 5      + 5
 5x     = 4x + 4
-4x      -4x____   
  x     =      4

3x - 2(x + 4) = x + 4x 

  3x - 2x - 8 = 1x + 4x

        x - 8 = 5x
          + 8      + 8
        x     = 5x + 8
      -5x     =-5x____
      -4x     =      8

      -4x%2F%28-4%29+=+8%2F%28-4%29

           x  =  -2
